The Jungle

This novel was based on Henry Kuttner's 1943 story "Clash by Night", set on Venus, after Earth has been destroyed by atomic radiation.

Man now lives under the oceans, in domes called "Keeps". Each have become like kingdoms, and, battles erupt between them, with mercenaries venturing up to the surface, waging war in the hot jungles of a terraformed environment.

And there's as many dangers from the alien wildlife, as from the human enemy...
