Printed Art Gallery
After years of posting art here on DA, I've decided to post some of the original printed art, from the hundreds of cover and interior works here.
It is only a sampling of about 40 published works, but includes some new art, not seen before...
They include;
A "controversial" 1982 cover for Rigel Magazine-a case of being TOO accurate to the story...
Graphic (type) art (Moonsword) I designed which was incorporated into the published cover, and one that never made it...
A poem (Magic Fairy Hope) that was written especially for one of my early fanarts, included in the art.
The one printed cover (In Another Country) which only made it to the
Commissions Now Closed
All commissions are closed henceforth. I'm only posting this to avoid any misunderstandings in the future. I meant to do this earlier, but, I doubt anyone has noticed anything...But, now, there are a few DA members who have commissioned me in the past, plus anyone new, having thoughts or plans for commissions here...
I've successfully made the transition into retirement, during 2017. There's too much personal detail to mention here, as to why now and what happened...
One big advantage, is I'm no longer restricted by financial needs, and, part of the pressure was to expand into other media, such as Patreon, Instagram, Tumblr, or Facebook. I

Interesting interview, thanks for sharing, Alan! 
I found your story about realizing you could draw with the Garbo portrait in 1976... confidence seems to be one of the biggest problems for me, but when I get down to art study and make a drawing that was better than I expected, I realize that I CAN reach my goals. In a way, it is a little like trying to get a ramjet engine going- it won't ignite with going at supersonic speeds, but you need some way to push it up to those speeds. You need confidence to draw, but unless you draw you won't have confidence. The only way to get going is a leap of faith, really... XD
