Pirates Vs. Ninjas

In 2004, after 3 years doing anime themed art as part of my work (I did mostly Sci-Fi/Fantasy until then), I got invited as Artist Guest of Honor, at A-Kon (Dallas, TX) for the first and only time (as a anime themed artist). 2 years later, I got a commission to do the program book cover for A-Kon 17.

The theme was "pirates vs. ninjas", and as a solution, I drew on my experience doing Battledroid covers for FASA games in the 80's.
