Damnation Alley by AlanGutierrezArt Damnation Alley by AlanGutierrezArt
From the book by Roger Zelazny, commissioned and published by Tor Books, 1983.

The ugly "flip side" of "Pathways and Parables" (in this gallery), the story is set in a post-apocalyptic California, where convict Hell Tanner, is offered a pardon, to deliver a vaccine to Boston, traveling across a landscape of mutant freaks, bad road, hurricane force winds, and over the bones of those who have tried the journey before...

This was one of the last cover paintings I did, before moving from my California home, and starting my own east coast adventure, in New York City.

Oil on masonite, 15" x 25"
